Early morning walk

Good morning everyone,

If the weather is nice or just dry I really like having an early morn ing cuppa sitting in my garden as the fresh air really wakes me up and the air was a bit sharp this morning I've also got to be around as I'm organising work on my home so it seemed opportune to go for a nice morning walk.

I really like August and the autumn so this is one of my favourite times of year and I know its not been very like summer in the UK.

The drawing in of the daylight hours becomes noticeable during August as the sunset time is an hour earlier on the last day of August compared to the 1st day of the month.

But this is what makes August so special as plants notice this change and burst into fruit before the winter so it's a very lush and productive time of year here in the UK.

You can see how low the sun is as it was behind me and so low in the sky I couldn't hide my shadow, the purple loosestrife looks stunning in the early morning sun as does the forest behind it.

Enjoy walking folks as its a life saver having enough exercise and being out amongst nature is a mega stress buster so all good positive reasons to go for a nice health walk. ๐ŸŒž

Morning Jerry, lovely photo. Iโ€™ve noticed that a tree in a neighbouring garden has begun to lose its leaves so a reminder that autumn is just around the corner.

I managed a short walk yesterday and felt a great sense of achievement afterwards. I had a chat with a neighbour who I hadnโ€™t seen for ages and all in all I was very happy to have been out. Iโ€™m really hoping to have some more short walks soon. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ€

Good morning Rach, well done for going for a walk it doesnโ€™t matter how short it is as itโ€™s very beneficial and hopefully you wil, be able to walk further and longer because of your efforts.

Autumn is in the air as Iโ€™ve noticed trees gradually changing colour my maples are starting to go red hereโ€™s one of mine. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ

Thank you for your encouragement Jerry, I need to build up my leg muscles now.

The maple is very pretty, I thought the leaves were flowers at first.

I forgot to say, itโ€™s always exciting having work done on your home, I hope it goes according to plan. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good morning Mandy. Thank you, I hope things are going well for you. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿฆ‹

I had a nice morning out yesterday in Newport as I had an interview for 9.40am at St woolos hospital in the dermatology department there.

I enjoyed a walk round the park nearby just before I had my interview.

I enjoy autumn as well as there isn't those ridiculously hot days like we had in July this year!

Hi Hidden

This photo is gorgeous - I love the flowing pinky-purple flowers and the dappled sky. Really lovely view. Nature is amazing and I agree that walking is a great way to exercise and enjoy Nature.

This morning here it's heavy rain and we have booked today go to the lido for 3pm this afternoon but we have also booked for next Friday as well.

Didn't do the lido last Saturday as we went to the station to get the lunchtime train there and there was chaos with the trains so we decided not to bother and went to a dessert parlour that one of the youngsters said she wanted to go to and we got free crepes there which helped take the sting out of not going to the lido!

I remember years ago when I worked in Caerphilly and it was 2009 and there were whispers going round about swine flu and a colleague had booked to go to Mexico and was worried about it getting cancelled and I had suggested back up plans she could use say if the worst did happen and Mexico was cancelled and put Mexico off for another time and she had broke down crying saying how she had set her heart on Mexico and I had comforted her saying how its always hard to take when you are looking forward to things and then there's a chance they might not happen and had said about some of my own disappointments and how I had overcome them and that she didn't have to do back up plans if she didn't want to as its entirely your own free choice if you want to take advice or not.

A colleague had backed me up and had said about listening to my advice about back up plans as she felt that they help to take the sting out of an initial disappointment as well and are a good thing to have.

However we went to the lido yesterday afternoon and made it into a day out and we all really enjoyed it there.

Personally during the pandemic I have found that the back up plans are loads better than the original ones that had to be shelved!
