Hello,

I’m just wondering how everyone is getting on with the lockdown?

I’m still managing to get out for a walk every day. Although without one of my four legged friends it often seems a bit pointless and lonely. I need to keep my motivation and strength up though as I find if I don’t walk or sit around for any amount of time my feet and joints hurt so that inspires me to keep fit for when the lockdown is lifted. I do wonder though with people working from home now that it may become something that takes off and if people are around more then there will be less need for a dog walker so I might need to come up with another plan 😁

How are you managing. Are you still able to get out as much as you need to or want to and get the exercise that you need?

Ive just finished reading the salt path about a couple who walk the west coastal path which I quite enjoyed although I do prefer to be out walking than reading about someone else walking!

I hope everyone is keeping well how are you finding the lockdown effects you?

I'm managing OK and getting out once a day as allowed by the government although today I got out and only walked to the shop for a loaf of bread and back which is only 2 miles round trip but better than no walk at all!

Hello Ali,

How are you doing without your four legged friends, you must be missing them and them missing you. I am exercising on my treadmill and going out for the occasional walk around the village, If I don't get the exercise amount right then I sieze up and it can be bad because of the fibro.

The book you reading sounds lovely, very relaxing, I am reading House of Lies by Ian Rankin.

I am still going to work, so ensure I don't go out weekends at all

Best wishes

Debs

Sounds like a good book Debs. I’m surprised how quickly you can seize up. Also I keep pulling muscles which is odd as it’s never happened before. Struggling to sleep as have pulled a muscle in my neck and already have torn the rotation cuff in my shoulder so I’m a walking disaster zone at the moment!

Oh goodness Ali, that sounds painful, no wonder your not sleeping. Maybe a good quality flaxseed oil capsules might help, my dad was having simillar issues and now he takes these flaxseed capsules he is such better. Hope you feel better soon

Oh really. That's helpful. Also last week I knelt down and really pulled a muscle in my thigh. So unlike me. It really hurt, if fact so much i nearly passed out. It seems to be one thing after the other at the moment. I'll see if i can get flaxseed oil. Thank you x

Oh goodness Ali, that sounds awful. Do you do yoga?

Dad gets Natures Aid Capsules and they work for him : >

I enjoyed a book by Carole Matthews called the cake shop in the garden which was a nice light read that kept me entertained over the weekend!

I am re reading a favourite book now called the murder road by Stephen booth set in the peak district.

I love the peak district where all roads lead to big town Sheffield!

Oh that sounds really interesting, I am going to look that one up, I love a good physiological thriller, I best not read the one about the cake shop, as I am trying to loose a few pounds : >

I'm so sorry Ali, I can see you're really missing your four legged friends. People that work from home will still need dog walkers as they are supposed to be working and not going for walks with their dogs.

I'm actually getting out a lit more as of course I can't see friends or family and I find I need to exercise or it'll affect me mentally.

Stay safe and breathe in the fresh air, look at the lovely flowers and trees and you'll be more energised.

Stay well and safe.

That’s true Alicia. We would soon feel the effects of not being able to get outside and walk. It resets everything doesn’t it.

β€’ in reply toAgoodenough

We certainly would Ali. Enjoy the fresh air and sights and sounds of the countryside.😊

How is Teddi and is she still getting spoilt?

Baby our ginger tabby is and is getting cod this afternoon for her weekly treat!

That is a spoilt brat!

Haha. She deserves it. Yes teddi is fine I bet she is enjoying have her owner around more. I bought a laser pen for our cat willow to chase the light around and she loves it! πŸ₯°

Yay, so pleased for you, bet you enjoyed every minute Ali.

Keep well and stay safe xx

I read the Salt Path last year. My mom had PSP & someone on that site highly recommend it. I had a hard time putting it down.

In lllinois grocery stores are having a hard time keeping toilet paper on the shelves. I almost ran out of flour yesterday but hubby found some at a little country store (a shipment had just came in).

I miss coffee chats with our friends but talk on the phone occasionally (it's just not the same because you cannot hug over the phone or see smiles).

All in all we are safe here in the country (always trying to play catch up with our to-do-list).

Someone on the neuropathy site recommended taking Tumeric & l find it is helping my hip a lot. Hope you feel better soon... l know you miss your pups as they are delightful in all your photos. Keep on keeping on... Granni B
