I just wanted to wish you all a HNY when the bells start donging.
I remember this time last year (and the years before that...) when I felt fat, low and a bit hopeless. I never thought that 2023 would lead to what it has done. The gastric sleeve op and the weight loss (total of 4 stone 10 pounds now) never even entered my head as a possibility.
My hopes for 2024? I need to get a bloody job so that I can finally start bringing money into my house. Yes, part time will be needed as I get tired quite quickly, but still.
My good friend is holding me to something too - that I will go out and buy clothes that don't drown me. At the moment I'm only wearing the clothes I used to have to wear and make me look like a baggage!
I'm writing this so that hopefully it can help people see that yes, it is possible to get out of that feeling of "this is it, I'm scuppered". I'm not out of the woods yet, but 15 years on, things can still improve...
