My section 2 was lifted yesterday and am now classed as a voluntary patient. All goes to plan I should go home on Friday. It's been a tough three weeks it's as close to being in prison as you can get I guess. Have made great progress and am not hearing voices or having any self harming desire.
Thanks for all the support and messages. Am having sessions today and tomorrow with my psychiatric professional and will be putting a safety net in place for when I go home.
The knowledge that I'm not on section anymore and could potentially call a taxi and go home today is a comfort but I owe it to the team to stay and get further treatment and owe it to myself to have things in place for help if I need it in the next few weeks etc.
Thanks
David.

I wish I could 'Like' your post more than just once Dave. This is such good news ; what are the chances of finding such effective treatment in only three weeks.
I know it's been tough for you, but the outcome looks so much brighter than it did 3 weeks ago.. 😐 And good to know they still have your back now the section is lifted.
Take your time transitioning back home .....and stay well m'love....
Great news David … please stay in touch with your GP ans or the mental health team if you feel everything is well and or worse as so may people stop their meds thinking they don’t need them or they are not working … your so right in understanding how much better you are with the help you have received in the unit and this doesn’t stop when you get home to be there to help you achieve a lifestyle they you want .. so pleased to hear how much better you are feeling and the voices are under control . Enjoy you new journey and remember you are not alone dealing with your health 😊 sue x
Such good news for you and best decision to continue getting help. I take anything that is offered now. Sometimes ask for help but that's a strange feeling as always been independent. Hope you continue to get better.
Thanks everyone. Had a good last therapy session. Been over on my own to the main hospital for a Costa. This time tomorrow should be home. Thanks again.
Dave thank you for updating us. I am so happy to hear it is good news for you.
When I got home after my hospital stay it was wonderful but I didnt expect the need to adjust to being at home again over the next 2 weeks. Have they prepared you for this just in case?
I will think of you tomorrow surrounded by your home comforts.
Your so right. Came home on Friday and was doing so well until Saturday evening when i seemed to hit a brick wall. Feeling very anxious and generally off. Have someone from the home crisis team visiting this afternoon as a routine follow up so will share how I'm feeling.
