Apple Air tag

I agreed with my wife that I would carry with me at all times an apple Air tag. It arrived today and was fixed up to show on her I phone very easily. It's purpose is various. First thing is I can't really speak anymore so she doesn't want to call me on the mobile because of my speach. Secondly I have times of confusion when I don't even know my name. I've never got lost yet but who knows. This tag is tge size of a fifty pence coin and had gone in my man bag. I feel more safe and she has peace of mind. Wonder if anyone else has this. It is a bit of an intrusion of my privacy but at tge end of the day I'm not altogether mentaly or physically so have accepted it as part of life.

Hi, I think that’s a great idea. I am also have a safeguarding feature. I would wander off to my neighbours and my family would be worried how long I had been and where I had got to, so I can been seen on their phones on ‘find my friends’ app, it also helps me, I can see where they are as well. This gives us independence whilst being safe, I don’t see it as intrusive, I think it’s a great idea.

What a great idea. I could have done with this years ago as I often got lost before. Yes you can look at it as an intrusion of privacy . Then again you could look at it as a safety device.

Since you have been to put location on your phone I've had mine switched on. If I go missing ( not done this for a while) I know I can be found.

You could look at it as helping you gain some independence and allows you your own freedom yet keeping you safe.

Use any system that works for you and helps you live your life.

All the best

Pax

it’s a great use of technology! After my Mom had her stroke I sent up location tracking on her iPhone to see where she was at all times.

We’ve just bought a set of Apple air tags to help her track her important items in the even someone moves them.

Hopefully it helps gives your wife some piece of mind. 😀
