rant alert!!so,without going into much detail,i removed sean from the last "care"home.serious issues,that unfortunatley also fall at his social workers door.I have acted correctly and made a formal complaint to c.q.c and have,(very hard for me)resisted any contact with former home/care provider company.I was told that an investigation is in place,but this was by social worker on 14th july when she visited with sean at new place,she also this day said she would be coming back 18th july to see sean in private to conduct a "capacity"assessment.this was not done,and i have not heard from said social worker since.I had instructed care/support from legal team to contact durham social services/c.q.c.i have heard nothing from no-one...This is where i feel it goes wrong for the thousands that make complaints.these people are tripping over each other to pass buck and blame each other,im left feeling very confused,paranoid,angry.The issues and complaints i have made are the truth,I can prove them.someone said to me recently its a mountain how are you going to move this?companies making obscene profits from public money,they will shut you down,too powerful...As most people here will understand,the problems we face are not respected on any level.I will not stop,I have nothing to lose,I will have justice for the way my son was treated.By the way,how do you move a mountain?"one stone at a time"....

Oh bless you .. yes it is unfortunately one stone at a time .. keep sending emails to those who haven’t done what they said they will do or who haven’t contacted you … don’t phone as there is no paper trail with spoken words .. the whole system is a mess and it needs people to speak out and also receive answers .. another step to use is to contact your local MP again an email .. ans another is the press .. as they don’t want this to become public knowledge .. the press would need investigative work from someone who knows their systems well … I really do hope you can get some more professional help with your way forward .. keep fighting aa you are doing an amazing job , in a total minefield ..sue x

Morning D, yes keep at it, they will be hoping you will give up, as teasymaid said ensure you keep a paper trail for evidence, that used to be one of their favourite phrases on inspection, if it’s not written down it’s not done, same applies to them. Stay strong my friend love Alice xx

Feel free to rant! It's a hard process and they hope to wear you down so that you will give up... Keep chipping away (but try to reserve some strength... your own situation will be so wearing). I always go for emails over phonecalls (as useful evidence). Copying other people into the emails seems to help too. God bless..

Has Sean got an advocate? Might be worth a try ? I.m going through the same and so is someone else I know, the place my son is in is awful good luck

Hi I’m sorry to hear you and your friend is having the same problem .. I have seen this first hand the whole care system is so wrapped up in the paper work to tick the boxes on how well staff are trained but the problem is what is supposed to happen doesn’t .. Person Centered care is pushed in the written work but I’ve seen on many occasions both at work and my own care that it stops in the actual care right in front of them .. the human being , who is an individual and needs to be this to be at the front of everything they do for that individual with love care and support .. the system needs changing and staff not doing there job correctly should be sacked .
