well,its a thing i guess.?so,for a while now every 2 weeks i have been using a taxi firm to visit son.i live in a small village the bus service is really bad,i dont drive.i have to every 2 weeks attend job centre/and a program called re start.i have sorted it to do both same day.it is less than 3 miles away but i need 2 busses to get from a/b.some of which dont turn up when they should so i always allow for this.this means for 3 miles im gone for 6/7 hours.madness right?on my taxi journeys i usually get same drivers,they are brill guys.one said why dont i apply with firm to have a job as a personal ass.you know contracts for school runs(special needs kids).now this sounds too good to be true,but im thinking,dole off my back,having some work,who knows maybe a discount for taxi travel?and a really nice guy who lost both his wife/son says he likes to play bingo would i like to go?what does anyone think?...

D, here's the thing my first boss used to say : A job offered is a door opened. It's already done you good, I am sure, to hear that you'd be useful to someone, and they'd pay for your company ... Heck, it's done me good !! There's no point in turning it away, right?

In your place I would say you'd be happy to explore further, and who would you typically be escorting, and what it might pay.... And see whether he was serious.
