It's that time of year again.

Well another year has come around. As usual I'm on holiday as its my birthday. I don't celebrate my birthday anymore as I'm not that person anymore.

Then again it only a week until I'm celebrating my survival day. It will be 23 years since the big man up there rejected me and decided I belonged on this earth.

Looking back I have grown as a person , hopefully for the better, and now am content with my lot.

I am blessed with children and grand children and feel lucky to be here.

Yes things sometime are challenging but life is a challenge. Yes some days are dark but then you appreciate the good times more

Basically what I'm saying is all things are temporary , the good and bad get through the bad and enjoy the good.

Keep smiling.......and make people wonder what you know and they don't.

Great post Pax. I was feeling a bit down today 'til I read your words and couldn't agree more about bad days making us really appreciate good ones !

10 years for me now and my own birthdays mean nothing ; it's all about the here & now after brain injury isn't it....

Glad I lifted your spirits. The same here my birthdays seem for other people, mainly because my rta was a bout a week after my birthday.

I also feel a fraud celebrating someone I'm not. So for quite a few years I go away for my birthday. Usually a few days in Wales is enough but last year decided to go abroad with one of my daughters and her family. Then covid had other ideas for us.

But we postponed till this year and held our breath. I'm now not celebrating my birthday in the sun. Oh and also my survival day as well.

Hope you are well, and thanks for the support a few months ago when I was really low. It meant a lot.
