Nightmares and other sleeping problems

Has anybody been diagnosed with Sleep Apnoea brought on by anxiety due to having had a Tbi? Excuse my bluntness got no filter sorry!

my husband had a hypoxic brain injury he has sleeping problems twice a month my husband would not sleep all night just walking around his cognition at that time is so so good his speech is bang on can understand everything in other words his so active he would be like that the following day and the night and than he will sleep maybe a couple of hours and than do the same following day so in other words he would not sleep for more than 18hrs and than when he does eventually sleep he would sleep the whole day and night where he misses his meals

he is on sleeping tablets and is also on melatonin but they show no effect on thses days they just dont work 😒
