My partner has been living with the effects of a brain tumour since 2004. Impact on her speech is not new but this time she has only yes, no and my name at the moment. I'm looking for advice on how to help her feel more in control of her life whilst I have to guess what she wants and ask questions she can answer yes or no.

Hi Reels,Give Headway a call. They have communication apps to help non verbal people communicate. I don't remember what they are called, but they. exist. Basically there is a word like felpeling you touch, then a bunch of feeling words , for example.
Headway's number is in the pinned post to the right. Generally good to get them on your team and find out what you can from them.

My husband has no speech, well his articulation is not there. His speech therapist has given him an NHS ipad (if you're in the UK). It has a speech app on it which is amazing. There are apps that you can pay for yourself of course. There is also one from the US that a friend from there recommended (I actually think that this one will be better for my husband). Does she have a speech therapist at all? There is an iPad standard option and then there is something which is a lot less techy with a push button keypad. My husband hates having to use this because he wants to speak... However it is a really really good option.
