Hiya all, hope you're all well ;o)

Just saw a post about remembering different passwords ...... & here's how, safe, secure & easy to remember .......

For basic passwords, like this one or example that don't really matter, have your basic generic password - name of your first child / cat / mum's name (think U get my drift. Followed by a number / s. No need to have different passwords for basic websites.

I use my favourite football team followed by my pin number. Could be the first 2 numbers of your date of birth - For me that'd be 22.

Oh & if anyone wants t wish me a happy 50th birthday btw, that's 22nd of this month (yes believe it or not, that really is FIFTY, I kno & yet I only look 25 ( yeah course ya do Stace ;o)

22/12/71.

As if anyone's gonna remember, we're not exactly renowned for having good memories are we. My goldfish takes the mick out of me for having a bad memory ;o)

Anyway, sorry for going off topic, back to how to remember passwords ;o)

For more important passwords, banks, email, fb, ebay etc - things that would make a difference if they were hacked so best to use a different passowrd, use 3 characters, ( I use !!! ), followed by @ and the name of the name of the website - for example, my first pet was called Cookie (use something U won't forget),

so that would be Cookie22 !!!@barclays / !!!@facebook / !!!@ebay etc etc. Hopefully U get my gist. My actual password is....

yeah like I'm gonna tell U, I had a head injury, I'm not daft ;o)

But that way they are all different & very difficult to hack, yet at the same time easy to remember, hope U agree,

Stace

Btw, don't forget 22 of December - 50 years old

Haha, yeah I have been playing around changing my passwords regularly, I believe it good for the memory. I learn't to be careful about it though and now I write down important passwords on a piece of paper as a backup. I once couldn't access my laptop because of this, I lost a fair share of docs, emails, and pictures!

There’s quizzes ppl complete on Facebook like favourite pet etc. never do these as your answers are used in the future to get your passwords

Or never do those kind of quizzes ;o)

But if U put a number after it, that wouldn't be a problem & as I said if it's a password that needs to be more secure, like fb, email, banks etc, use the same more complex password for all, but just change the @whatever the website is, t suit. Maybe add the same characters to each, such as the three !!!before the @ t make it even more secure ???
