Well the plot thickens. An update on nhs treatment.

Just had a phone call from consultant ( think well be on first name terms soon).

My treatment on friday is on hold. They think they should just have another look at my condition to check I am having the right treatment.

I did point out I've not started treatment yet so not much to check.( I now know she doesn't do sarcasm).

Well I'm off to see another panel of consultants on Tuesday so with any luck I may start treatment this year.

I know my condition is not life threatening or limiting, but it is a skin condition that is spreading.

On a positive note i get to visit the hospital again ,they have a costa coffee ( apparently its law you have to visit there.)

Looking at the positives Pax ; the sun-tan, the Costa coffee and near enough celebrity status with your very own team of consultants ...... it looks like a walk in the park !

....seriously though, I hope the Tuesday meeting comes up with a clear treatment plan. 😉 x

Thanks again Cat for your optimism and positivity.

The costa will be good. Its seems the constant battle was getting to me as it's been stop start since 2015.

It's like battling for treatment for bi. I thought I had finished those battles.

Trying not to let it bring me down , but was having a little wobble. Think having a vent on here helps put things in perspective.

I appreciate your frustration of cancellations/delays etc. I'm still on hold from 2019 (so not as bad as your delay) since nerve induction tests for carpel tunnel & arthritis, amongst other treatments.

But Covid has understandably taken precedence this past 18 months & I'm just thankful to be still kicking considering the shocking numbers of casualties. My grandson still suffers the effects after contracting the virus in Spring 2020 !

Anyway, folk of our endurance calibre deserve a wobble now & again.

As for over priced coffee it's usually an antidote to shopping. My wife and kids used to go shopping and I'd opt to stay in nearest cafe/ coffee shop.

I habit I wish not to break.
