Had this for 2 weeks now along with slight numbness in hands and heart palpitations. Had ET for 5 years so I know the side effects, but these are worse.

You can't get to see a doctor or speak to one as their too busy earning £12.58 per covid injection. We pay for this GP service through our NI contributions and it's an absolute scandal that they're Allowed to bugger off and earn a pot load of money at the expense of their patients !

Massive death toll coming in the next couple of years due to non diagnosis.

It sounds to me (layman) that ET or no ET you need to see a doctor. Not speak over the phone or send an email, but actually see one.I think you should have a thorough examination including an ECG.

My suggestion is to go to A&E explaining about the heart palpitations and numbness in your hands.

I agree that it is all too often a battle to get the medical attention we need, but that doesn't mean you don't deserve to be seen. You do!

It won't take A&E docs that long to either confirm or eliminate an issue that needs urgent attention and it might make a nice change for them from the drunks they normally have to manage over a BH weekend.

I understand that finding it difficult to see a doctor is very difficult and frustrating, but with the greatest of respect it isn't true that GPs are making money from giving Covid vaccinations. If you want to know the facts on that situation, here is a useful link:

In the article you cite, it states, 'It is used to pay for costs associated with providing the treatment.' This is not the same as GP's making money from vaccinations. If you read the article I provided links to it clarifys this further. Quote: 'However, “enhanced services”, such as national vaccination schemes, are paid for separately (here). This money is paid to the general practice, not individual doctors as the Facebook meme suggests.'

Sorry but my source is from full fact.org a respected FACT checking UK organisation. It isn't as you state a "Facebook meme"

That is from your source article.

Paying for costs is not the same as making money for GPS. GPs aren't making money from this. That is what your own article explains.

Also, from the article I cited, 'Pulse, a publication for GPs, warned on Nov. 6 that administering the coronavirus vaccines will have “workload implications” for practices, but said that the £12.58 payment will make the vaccination campaign “cost neutral."

If you read the article you cited, plus the other article, it is clear that the payment is to meet additional costs, not to pay GPs any extra.

I didn't mention Facebook, the Reuters article did.

Hi, GPs are open for other cases that need attention, it is government policy re the vaccination programme, so they have little wriggle room.

I recently called my GP re my annual MOT, or lack of, I don't know what I said but I have been inundated with appointments, calls, change in how my meds are issued, even a trial meal delivery.

So it's worth fighting the rottweiler reception staff. Good luck 🍀
