Cancelled surgery

Ok guys my surgery cancelled after I spent the day in the reception room waiting for the doctor I wouldn’t mind but this is the 4 th time it’s been cancelled. And then the doctor said why are you so mad by this time my anxiety is through the roof so I’m home now

God I hate complaining on here I just need to be thankful

Sorry to see this, and 4th time I dont blame you feeling frustrated but I hope no more delays now, totally unacceptable on the brighter note at least bag done ready.

That must be nerve wracking having surgery cancelled so many times - particularly once you have psyched yourself up to it. Glad you get your birthday though - that's a good thing x

That's so frustrating Missy ! Your despair at being turned away yet again must be off the scale. I know we've needed to grit our teeth and keep our health issues on hold this past year .......but facing brain surgery is such a big deal and having to psyche yourself up 4 times for nothing must be soul destroying.

Unavoidable maybe ; but cruel all the same ! So you'll have to dust yourself down and wait for yet another slot. Maybe ask PALS to support you in preventing a 5th nerve racking ordeal.

Hi missy, sorry to see your surgery was cancelled yet again, I’m sure this must be very frustrating and no wonder you are angry, unfortunately if major casualty comes in requiring surgery they get priority, and having been on that side I am very grateful they do, hopefully they will get you back in soon love Alice xx

Hi I know emergencies take president but when suffering from anxiety disorder it didn’t help lol I would never take away from someone more in need I think I’m more angry with myself for my anxiety getting out of control waiting for my bed yesterday

Hi Dawn, I would do what cat suggested and give pals a ring, cancelling four times is quite excessive, and would explain your anxiety issues, they are very good and so helpful love Alice xx

Early happy birthday.

I hate the way that any surgery that isn't via A&E is elective surgery. Plastic surgery is something you choose. Hip, replacement, reconstruction of a shoulder, repair of blood vessel etc, may not be urgent, but they aren't something in the ideal world anyone would choose.

Hope you get a new date soon.

hello understand your frustration & what was the basis 4 cancelling your surgery 4 times? have friend in health care facility experiencing same scenario regards surgery legs and hip so he can walk again sincerely,ralph cox🌏🍆💲
