Sliding Doors moment

Yesterday I was working in the foodbank and I love it when I serve those who shit on me in the past and they are now stuck in dead end relationships with umpteen kids and druggy boyfriends.

It’s like “Yeah you had your chance and look at me now”.

Maybe it’s awful of me but I just remember these ppl giggling at me when I was in the early stages of recovery

No it's not awful, karma is sweet.

Whilst sad in some respects, it is nice to be there when Karma does her thing.

I had a nice moment quite a few years back, previously I worked with a guy whom was not only useless but an absolute pig of a guy whom thought he was god's gift to the planet.

Our path's separated for a few years then on starting a new job came across him in the corridor and he was as foul mouthed and obnoxious as before. I had to leave because I had a meeting as he did. His parting shot was that he was off to a see the new boss and would make sure the boss knew what he thought of me. I thought I would have to call a paramedic during the meeting when I was unveiled as the new boss.

Great.

A few years ago I was kicked off a course after a lass told the tutor a pack of lies about me.

You see there was another guy she had interests in and getting me out the way was best for her.

A few years later I was going to the gym and a fat bird with greasy hair was pushing a pushchair.

She was this lass. They guy had got her pregnant and moved on.

She said Hello and reminded me who she was.

I walked off. Her loss

Just remembered another instance.

A few years ago I was beaten up by 3 lads who’d been drinking.

I wasn’t long out of hospital as I was having problems with my shunt so my coordination was to pot.

Every punch I took and it mashed up my nose. (I’ve since had it straightened).

I saw to each of them by themselves but I couldn’t find the ringleader.

I was a member of Scunthorpe Headway and he walked in.

He’d had a car crash and was in a bad way.

We ended up going on a cruise to the Med.

Long story short I told him I knew who he was.

He denied it at first but then admitted it.

His family know who I am and now I’ve got the utmost respect and we are still friends.

There should be a statue in my name lol
