I have a Superman logo on my right hip with the date of my accident above it (I took a flying station wagon to the head in 2004). Years later, I added the word “hope” to the right of it... because it’s something I’ll never give up.

After my sah and not being the most patient patient...every time I asked when I'd be able to speak properly they told me "one step at a time" - when I asked when will I get my balance back my neurologist said "one step at a time" one particularly difficult day after being in hospital for a long time my best friend was visiting me. I was very frustrated and said to her "I swear if one more person tells me to take things "one step at a time when I get out of here I'm having it tattooed on me" And I did. I'm not sure (due to diminished brain skills if I can post pic here but I'll try). If not it's on my foot.
