Can you go underwater?

Hi, I always forget to ask. Does anyone struggle with getting their head under water since there bleed within the brain? When I swim I cannot place my head under water, it’s like a helium balloon. Has anyone else suffered with this?

I get a similar sensation when I’ve over exerted my brain by working too long without a break. But some of my medications can cause this. I was wondering if you are on any medicines? Or have numbness on your head? My surgery (craniotomy) was just 5 weeks ago and when I shower, my scalp tingles in weird ways. Or maybe the water temperature of the water affects your head?

Hi @No1wthayla I’m not on any medication thankfully. I had the Gamma Knife option for my treatment. Being so far post bleed now I thought these sensations may have calmed though it’s just as difficult. Maybe I shouldn’t be attempting this action and just accept that I can no longer attempt my dolphin swimming 🙄 thank you for sharing

I had surgery in 1995 to have my gallbladder removed. I think that scar was numb for like 3 years.

You will swim as a dolphin again. Visualize healing to where you need it. I do this every night while I'm going to sleep. It has really helped me. Think of the incision closing, the skull mending, the tissues healing, and so on. I did this for a torn meniscus and never needed surgery for it.
