I frequently feel light headed or dizzy or far away which is the only way I can describe it, but I don't have a good solution so that's not a very helpful reply. I also developed ridiculous vertigo. It doesn't have to be high, it's the angle, so even some stairs or slight incline I can't cope with, and I can't go up or down escalators. Luckily in my house there are no steps at all.

I also suffer with vertigo and a pulsating feeling. My injury was 15 months ago. I started neuro physio in February. I was told that my balance was off kilter and that the exercises would help this considerably and would almost get me back to normal it’s too early to say as I only had two appointments due to lockdown. There are very few neuro physios in the U.K. there is a balance and vertigo clinic in the Wellington Hispital in London. They did tests on a machine and my responses confirmed this diagnosis. I was just happy that someone somewhere understood what was going on and were sure they could help me.

I often have lightheadedness but mine is due to erratic blood pressure and a heart condition. In your case, such a recent development might or might not be brain-injury related and perhaps speaking with your GP via a telephone appointment might be your best bet.

It's such a difficult time for anyone needing none critical healthcare but your doctor will have key questions for narrowing down possibilities of certain issues. He/She might suggest you purchase a blood pressure monitor to check for low blood pressure (£15+) whilst taking into account medications, other symptoms and medical history.

Dizziness can have any one of a variety of causes such as low blood sugar, inner ear infection, postural vertigo and many more. By asking about triggers, or conditions surrounding your symptoms, a doctor can glean a great deal.

Hope you'll contact your GP soon and, hopefully, get some helpful answers/suggestions. Best wishes, Cat....

I also suffer from dizziness as a result of TBI. I’ve had two tries at the Epley Manoeuvre with a vestibular specialist. Both times were successful in reducing symptoms. It’s possible to view epley manoeuvre videos on YouTube.

If you’re seeking medical advice for dizziness, try to keep a diary about what things bring it on. That might be helpful for your GP in making a correct diagnosis/prescribing treatment.

Good luck :)

Oh dehydration is also bad for vertigo, so drink plenty in the hot whether. I think that may be connected to the brain too. Not entirely certain
