Long time absentee saying hello again.

Hi everyone I hope that all the newbies have had the warm welcome we are known for.

Sometimes it seems like there isn't enough me to go round.

My "walking for health" group keep me sane.

Being a distant carer for a very stubborn older relative, carer for a partner who doesn't want to care for himself and to crown it all I've recently been made power of attorney for a relative and that is being a real pain in the (xxxxxxx xxxx).

Am I wrong to be proud of the self censorship?

Please be kind and tell me I'm doing OK .

Thanks Andy.

Walking is wonderful and I recently did the training to be a walk leader. Heaven help our group. But really it was to help our leader out as the group has got so much bigger.

Finding a terrapin in the canal was a recent highlight but we failed miserably in trying to rescue it.

I've been trying to sort out the credit card as power of attorney but when my brother registered his with the bank it took me off the system mid querying an item. They won't talk to me.

Even the local branch manager was on the point of losing it with head office.

Its all fun isn't it?

How are you keeping?

Oh, I know all about 'power of attorney', after my dad passed last year. Pain in the backside isn't it, I truly feel for you.

Yeah, I'm good thanks, just plodding along, as ever :)

I wouldn't worry abut the terrapin, seen lots in canals and they seem to fare quite well. Mean to dump them in the first place though, isn't it?

Good to “see” you Random Phantoms!

I am not so frequent around here, although I do have a little check now and then to see if I can help anyone or say hello! Such as now!

Sounds like you have a lot going on, I honestly don’t know what to say!

Lots of love

Emma

You’re welcome!

I am doing very well thank you! In fact I am in my 5th week of my first year at university. It is hard and I’ve already faced discrimination, not once but twice regarding my disability. But I won’t stand for it & I’m determined to be a voice for people like us.

Take care

Emma

Wow! You have come soooooo far.

I'm sure you will be a force of nature and start a sea change of attitudes at your university.

Very best wishes as always.

Awwww thank you so much,

that’s very kind of you! It has taken a hell of a lot of blood, sweat and tears but I hope it’ll all be worth it!

Very best wishes to you too, I hope things calm down a little for you in time. It seems a hell of a lot you are dealing with right now x
