About time I mentioned the 20 nap again I do believe ;o)

Hiya all, we all seem to have our problems after our HI / BI with being exhausted / brain fog etc, cause sleeping is usually a problem.

Like most, I sleep very little, but however I don't suffer from ' brain fog / exhaustion etc. I did but haven't for a long time. Simply because I discovered the 20 minute power nap & several people have sent me messages saying how well it works. .

It really has made a difference to my life.

.

Have a look at my profile & previous posts & it explains the best, most effective ways t do this .

But be sure to give some feedback - 20 minutes. No more than 25 cos U go into a second stage of sleep soon after & it's like having a couple of hours nap in the afternoon which refreshes most. Even if a long nap doesn't work for U, try the 20 minute power nap cause that may well make a massive difference.

Anyway, give it a go & look forward to all your positive messages to say how well it works ;o)

Quite right Stace - good reminder . Just had one this morning - makes a big difference to how I feel afterwards, and during my day.

I use a timed mindfulness exercise /meditation - but as I usually fall asleep anyway - actually it is just a timed 20- 23 minute nap. I set an alarm as well.

I go through many patches of not taking naps- but actually, I do more, feel better, and actually sleep better at night, when I take time out like this in the day.

I try not to take them after 4pm though because that seems to impact on my already dodgy sleep habits.

I don't sleep conventionally at all. When I wake up, regardless of time, I get up. So I will have a nap at 8 or 10, or whenever I feel sleepy. Then I'll climb into bed for a few hours when I do.

If I'm stupid enough t close my eyes & go back t sleep, then wakin up properly is really difficult & I do find it difficult t get up. I just want t go back t sleep.

Saying that at this time of year, that's not really a bad thing ;o)

During the summer I intend to just have many (4 or 5 20minute naps)

Xxx

This has been a good reminder to me thank! I need to start putting naps and rests in my daily routine again. I’ve got busy and enjoyed achieving more, the last 2 years since my surgery 5 years ago have seen the most improvement in recovery. I tend to push myself to the point, of my speech going, balance, foggy head and then headaches are triggered. You’ve reminded me to get that essential doze and rest in, to charge my batteries, before I become fatigued and am forced to rest. Thanks
