Hi all

during a particularly intense exercise session on Monday evening, i felt a sudden pain in the left back of my head. I hadnt experienced it before. It didnt really go away although it isnt as bad now. I keep worrying about it and not sure if that is exacerbating it. Most of the day today it was ok but keep feeling twinges, and it is exacerbated if I run or jump. It certainly isnt a strong or sharp pain, more of a dull pain. I have no additional symptoms.

I would definitely get it checked out as I was told I had a migraine and if I didn’t act. I would not be here today as it was actually a ruptured aneurysm.

Definitely one for the professional experts, I'd say. I would also suggest making a note of anything else that felt unusual prior to the onset of the pain, how long the pain persisted and if anything other than the running or jumping made a difference to the pain you experienced. Maybe you recall changes in your vision before or after the pain ? Worthwhile too making sure that medical experts know that you describe the exercise as 'particularly intense', as this may allow them help you better.

It is perfectly understandable that the episode has made you feel anxious, but whilst your mind has unlimited scope for thinking about what COULD be happening, professional advice may identify exactly what you're dealing with, which, in itself can, in many cases, reduce anxiety that has its origins in the fear of the unknown.

Take care

Thanks- I keep over thinking it and notice it intensifies when running or jumping, it makes me anxious and I hope to see a doc on Tuesday if still a problem
