Anyone know where I can view/ tryout recumbent 3 wheel disability bike?

OH , a keen cyclist had his brain haemorrhage last year following a fall from his bike. Desperate to cycle again but balance not good. Would make such a difference to his wellbeing / recovery and independence if he could cycle again. A 3 wheel recumbent type specialised bike may be the answer . Have found them on internet and looks promising.

BUT..... really need to see them in the flesh, try them out....so many types...fat bikes/ recumbent/ e bikes/ suspension etc etc...

So need a showroom...agent ...exhibition to view. Does anyone with experience in this area know where we can actually view.

Within driving distance of SW Wales where we have family or in SW France 🇫🇷 ( Poitou-Charentes) where we live.

Hoping some one out there can share their knowledge or experience please.

Thanks Anne

No problem happy to help.

The good thing is that down here, he could go on the Millennium Coastal path to get experience and build up stamina.

As you can probably guess by my name I am not so far from Swansea either - but far enough :-)

Hi Anne.My husband was a keen cyclist before his hypoxic brain injury. He had 4 bikes but could not balance anymore so had had to give up.He already had a recumbent trike from before so I have him a go on it.It is not a specialist one.The hardest part for him was actually getting down to sit on it.Once he was on I fastened an extending dog lead on the back and he rode round the farm track near our house. He loved it but I was knackered running behind him(also big dykes at side so worried he would be distracted by birds etc).Don't know where you could view them. Most variety we found were Dutch ones. They are more geared up for cycling.Sorry I can't be of help.Hope you find something.x

There's a national scheme, here is called Wheels For All. May be in Wales. U get a feel of bikes, they can tell u once u tried them what is available.

Think maybe that bikeability that sospan mentioned is Wales's version-sorry should have read her reply properly before answering.
