Hi, my first time here. I had a blackout one year ago, never found out why it happened, I really banged my head on a hard solid floor, the hospital concentrated on trying to find out why it happened, thought it was heart related but all tests were clear on that, I’m sure I had a scan when I got to hospital and I did stay in the hospital for 7 days, my notes said possible concussion, I’ve not been myself since that fall, gave my full time job up as it was too much for me and I found a part time job, 4 days a week, things have gone bad to worse, my scalp where I banged my head is still tender after all that time and I constantly have pain from that area where there is a dent in my head, that was never mentioned, surely the scan would of picked that up? I have blurred vision, balance problems, sometimes my legs go numb, pins and needles , tired, in a daze lots of time, no concentration, forgetfulness, so many things that don’t add up, my GP has just done lots of blood tests, should be all back this week, he also thinks I should see a neurologist, I can’t go on like this, it’s all too much, any advice would be much appreciated

Jean, it's good that your GP is taking this seriously. A neurology referral is definitely the best option to get a clearer diagnosis. And although Post Concussion Syndrome can last a year or longer, it's as well to see a specialist for an up to date assessment.
Good luck with getting help ; please come back and update us.
