Just to let you know that Annie is breathing by herself now without the aid of the life support machine for 24 hrs now and today she squeezed her dad Gareth's and one of the Intensive care nurses and doctors hands. She is still in the coma.
If all goes well this week they will move her to the high dependency ward this forthcoming Sunday.

That's good news indeed Laura. My cousin emerged from coma after 5 months ; her father gave up his job to care for her young child and to be with her everyday, talking, holding her hand and playing her favourite CDs. She eventually returned to normal life.
I hope this is the start of the waking process for Annie and indeed of recovery steps, albeit slowly. Keep talking to her and encouraging her with familiar sounds and recollections of happier times. With reassurance from familiar voices she might just amaze you all.
That is fantastic news. You clearly have a fighter. You must be over the moon as I am for you. Hope things will continue to improve and it's quick. Hugs and love to you xx
