Hiya. Thankyou for your kind words, yes the brace us a nightmare lol. Its all the injuries from falling, my pressures make me dizzy then i fall but at 47 i dont bounce anymore! Ouchy!

You just gotta keep on and keep smiling.

Yes I find it very hard to trust people, ive always had it as I had an abusive childhood but it has been so much more amplified since the bi. Although a few people who i did trust have hurt me so its just reinforced the belief not to trust anyone! However like you i find others with brain injury i trust? Its like we have a bond from a shared experience and know and understand more than anyone without bi can even though they try. Xxx

Hi lisa i do think People that have had some kind of Brain injury we all seem to trust each other more as we all understand each other others say they know what its like but until you have it they will never Quite understand what we go through

i am going to see my Nuro in a few Weeks time for a check up last Year when i saw him he said how well i had done as it had never come back i asked is it likly to come back like they thought he thinks not but he said if it had come back i would not be hear that really knocked me back but mad me reall think how lucky i was

My sympathies Lisa-Marie. I had similar last year with a broken foot. Such a pain when you can neither walk nor drive for 6 weeks ! Hope the time doesn't drag too much m'dear......... (good opportunity for reading 'War & Peace'). xx

I really did read W&P during that housebound period ; skipped the 'war' bits though but couldn't get enough of the 'peace' narratives with all the romantic & political intrigue.

You could watch 'The Killing' on Netflix (American version)................or 'Madmen' ; both pretty addictive & distracting. I must admit I ended up gardening by moving along the borders on a garden chair.

And crosswords....loads of crosswords. 😡 xx

Years ago in a different universe I read/listened to War & Peace, as a audio book when I was a Postie, I enjoyed it, but then had 3hrs a day where I could read every day so would ramp though long books in no time!

I love audible books! When the brain is tired they are perfect. And often the readers have lovely voices Id love to find ones read by Morgan Freeman or Anthony Hopkins πŸ˜€

Hey Lisa hope u r ok? It sounds like u have been in the wars!?! Take it easy...

I have seen my Neuro god this morning and he changed my brain shunt settings to try and improve my balance/mobility. Time will tell but I don't hold much hope as previous short term positive effects soon revert to crap! Keep smiling Kate X πŸ˜€

Ouch, I’m assuming you’re seeing some physio? Be that Nero or falls clinic? Even as high functioning I’m getting some more of that.

The community ones aren’t this far as useful as the rehabilitation assessment physo but she was deeply impressive if terrifying, in that she pushed to the point of failure, etc.

Hi Roger, yes seeing the Neuro rehab team and they have ordered a fall monitor for me to wear to get an idea of when im doing it and how often. Seeing a neuro OT who is brilliant, shes helping me fill out the forms and giving supporting evidence to get me a blue badge as i have balance problems and falls. I had one but they refused to renew it last year as I could walk but not too far.
