Yes, you'll have some sore headaches for a while after the coiling but they do subside over time ; keep taking the pain killers to minimise any inflammation,
So pleased you'll be heading home soon. Rest plenty and eat well afterwards, and don't be tempted to prove you're 'fine' to yourself or anyone else ; healing is a long process so look after yourself ! xx
Just keep taking the tablets, James! I had horrible headaches after my procedure in the summer - started about 3 hours after I came round with a full aura migraine and got repeatedly clonked thereafter for about 2-3 weeks. Thought it was never going to give up...but they sent me home with some codeone as well as the usual painkillers and whilst I am usually anti-meds for heads (else I would be popping them all the time) on the advice of the ward sister I kept to the written dose and eventually it started to subside.
Sending you blessings for a steady recovery. Take special care of yourself - someone's been fiddling inside your brainbox and that's a major deal - even though all you may have to show for it is a sore head and groin incision!
