Madrid nights! It's so beautiful here. I'm so happy to enjoy this with my family. I'm having a true Spanish siesta everyday before I go out in the evening to manage my fatigue and it's working so I can make the most of it. Try a siesta when on holiday or even at home and you will feel so refreshed, I promise. Love love love Madrid

Afternoon siesta's
I cant take naps during the afternoon because it makes me feel worse and I end up sleeping all the way through the night and in the next afternoon lol
I've always been able to sleep in the day, I work often in the mourning so often sleep or rest in the afternoon.
Infact don't seem to get jet lag now that along with no travel sickness is a plus!
Hi Roger what you said about travel sickness, was this something you had problems with after your Bi and did it eventually go? Rachel
Ah no I used to get travel sick pre my brain injury, found travelling in the back of a car/boats quite nauseous. Had to stay on the top of a ferry so I could see the horizon.
Now while the world may spin and so on, the damage to my balance systems seem to have knocked out the ability to get nauseous, travelling on a ferry is fine, oddly at night on trains particularly if there are others moving in different directions can be quite trippy/spinny but not nauseous making!
Ah right just wondered as I had terrible travel sickness for quite some months after my stroke. Fortunately it's gone now but still have issues with spatial awareness.
Madrid is indeed a nice place. If you don't know the city and get the chance, try the famous old restaurant for lunch (you need to book) or dinner called Casa Botin which is near Plaza Major. It's been around since the time of Cervantes and is one of the oldest restaurants in Spain.
