Head tender to touch

Posting for my husband. His BI was caused by a impact on the top right of his head in a car crash 14 months ago. Since then, when he gets his more severe headaches the outside if his head around the impact site is painful (3-4) to the touch. He wants to know if anyone else experiences this. Thanks

Hi Gabby.

I took a hit to the right front and side of my head. Still get headaches ( although thankfully not so many) years later. These are also very tender to touch when severe.

Has he had them checked out as 14 months is well inside what is deemed recovery period. The tenderness ...As in my case...May just be related to a sort of pressure headache. This still needs checking.

Also note any triggers for the headaches, tiredness or after concentrating for long.

As they say it may just become a part of his normal symptoms but get checked to find out at least what it isn't.

Thank you for your replies, he will be relieved to know he is not the only one. He saw a neurologist a few weeks ago and forgot to ask the question. We wondered if it was partially pressure related, it was particularly bad in the heat yesterday, he was also very fatigued, so keeping well hydrated too.

Early on IE in the first year or so, my fracture would hurt/ache in temperature differences i.e. A cold wind or a hot bath, doesn't tend to happen now though does sometimes.

Yes, almost two years on and the 'crack' site still hurts when washing my hair / brushing my hair / touching my head. I'm glad it's not just me as well as I was starting to think I was going bonkers :)
