After years of wondering what the hell 'blogging' even is, I finally succumbed.
If you have even the remotest interest in reading the ramblings of a slightly bored 44 year old prat with far too much time on his hands, feel free to have a delve...

ps

hmmmm
Cant find it... must be a bad head day, found someone else instead .... curses chiz!
I shall go forth immediately and read...I had a blog for a quite a while but then soemting happened to disrupt my routine (no idea what it was) and I stopped writing it ...the I forgot al about it and it sort of died of neglect
Andy what is gravatar? Even if I log into wordpress ( I do have a WP account already) I can't access your blog without agreeing to allow gravatar permissions and access to my personal info...which I am reluctant to do.
I've got around the Gravatar issue but all I can see if a landing page...have you actually posted anything other than the couple of lines in the about me section? Will/have you set up your blog so that people can subscribe via email? With zero memory the only way I can follow a blog is by having it come to me ...not exactly following but it gets the job done
Ooh-er, I'm straying into the realms of not really knowing what you mean to be honest. I've posted three or four ramblings and I know they can be seen as the Baroness had a peruse last night. If you are still having trouble, I'll have a look into it, but I don't really understand it myself if I'm blunt, with only setting it up yesterday.
All I can see is your profile info...nothing else.
Are you and the Baroness both looking at it on your computer or is she following the url to locate your blog and read your posts? I have tried every trick I know, including following your blog so your feed should appear in my blogroll...but nada, zip, not a sign of it anywhere.
Not wishing to appear insulting but did you make the posts live on your blog by hitting the blue publish to button in the bottom right of the blog entry box? Second question is about your settings...is your blog set to public? These are the only reasons I can think of why I can find your blog and your profile but can't see any blog entry posts
All the posts are live, apparently. The Baroness had a little look last night on her own laptop, not mine. She added her e mail and off she went, reading and, worryingly, chortling away. I'm at a loss as to why you can't see anything.
I'll post the last one here, just to show you that you're not missing out
School is over, two kiddywinkles have burst into the room. Peace? I forget what it is inside a single nanosecond.
The thirteen year old commences where he left off this morning. His arse is spot welded to the sofa and his fingers are glued to the mobile phone that rarely strays more than an inch from his person. Meanwhile the nine year old is talking, seemingly for some sort of trial for the national talking squad.. To be honest, she's absolutely pissing it, nobody stands a chance, my ears are bleeding. Even as I type, deliberately ignoring the incessant chatter about Christ knows what, the noise goes on, piercing my brain like a red hot sharp thing through soft, floppy milk based spreading stuff. I lost the will to live and blacked out at,
'I think all the petals are falling off, I like fruit cake, I thought it was sponge, ooh, lights, I did French today, I don't really like hippos, you've drunk coffee today, etc, etc'. It's jabber of the sort that would drive most people to the knife drawer, but for myself avec bruised brain, it drives through my brain like a 4x4 through wet mud. And to be honest, my brain feels like wet mud most of the time.
"A blog (short for weblog) is a personal online journal that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs are defined by their format: a series of entries posted to a single page in reverse-chronological order. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or reflect the purpose of the Web site that hosts the blog. Topics sometimes include brief philosophical musings, commentary on Internet and other social issues."
blogging is writing a blog which in turns makes you a blogger
Blogs are generally free to set up and maintain and are simple to use and do not require any specific or advanced skills. Blogger is the most commonly used and it is possibly the simplest, most user friendly and versatile free blogging platform but wordpress and live journal are also popular.
I had to laugh at your descriptions of the things going off round you,it reminds me when I am at work sometimes and all I hear is blah blah blah not taking any notice of what the conversations are going on about and someone asks me something and I'm like "what"!!!!
A lot of the time I really want to say STFU,which it has been known before now but they think I'm joking if only some of them really knew I meant it....lol let them keep thinking it keeps me amused then.
