The date is set. 6th December. Just us, her two kids and two close friends as witnesses. We're off away to the Peak District for that weekend and we'll do the deed and have a lovely time.

Me too! Very happy times spent in the Peak District. A wedding and relocation plans - perfect. Have you been in any of the Blue John caves? The Carol service in the Blue John caves - absolutely magical. Not forgetting the Bakewell tart or is it a pudding?

Astonishingly, we are hoping to do the caves for the first time in February, we off for a long weekend there, again

Bakewell pudding is the traditional dish and it's bloody horrible! Like a cross between a stodgy pancake and sponge. Not to my taste at all

Only just seen this reply, sorry! Didn't get to the caves, sadly. Due to laryngitis developing and also because of the frankly awful weather, we had to cut out weekend short. The rain was so appalling the landlady didn't even charge us for the night we decided to go home! We go again in May...
