Hi. I had a head injury in December and am now struggling with pins and needles and numbness and twitching on my left side. Just wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms and if they eventually go? Thanks

Pins and needles and numbness after TBI
This doesn't seem to have rung any bells with other members m'love. Have you spoken with anyone from your neuro team about these symptoms ? Cat x
Ask your gp or neuro if you can get a mri of your neck because it could be coming from some issue within your neck, I never thought anything about neck issues following my TBI but trust me for the sake of a MRI scan it's worth it
Hmmm. I received my TBI 17 years ago, and it is my right side which is affected. I do have a serious pins-and-needles problem on my right, but I don't think it is related to the TBI - it only appeared a few months ago, and I also have what is probably sciatica, which appeared at the same sort of time. I also have a major problem in my right hip, but we think that that *is* a result of the TBI: because of my bad balance, and weakness on that side, I don't walk symmetrically. I used to run (and I ran the London Marathon twice, raising money for Headway), but we think that my 'wobbly running' is what caused the hip problem. I haven't been able to run for years, now.
So, yes, I have regular / semi-constant pins-and-needles, but it only appeared many years after I got my TBI.
I hope your problem clears itself up!
I suffered a TBI early 2021. I still suffer from pins and needles in my head and I randomly drop whatever I'm holding (today it was the cookie jar). I see a physical therapist 3X's a week and that helps some.
Thanks very much for replying. Its good to hear that someone else has similar and im not alone. I hope things improve for you soon. xxx
