One year today my children were involved in a serious car accident, and they both received brain injuries. This year has been the worst time of my life, so many ups and downs and lots of tears. They have both returned to school, but education is a big issue to them both. Jack continues with his therapies and getting stronger. We have had to fight for a lot of things along the way. i will be forever grateful for all the emergency services and the Air Ambulance for getting them to hospital for life saving treatment, if they hadn't been there things could of been a lot worse. Also all the treatment they received in hospital, also Paul for stand by us over this very rocky and rough ride we have been on.

Hi Julie, an important milestone and well done, hopefully the next 12 months will be a bit easier, but good news for you all, take care Janetxxx
I have my fingers crossed for you. The therapy they do at school these days is pretty amazing. I can't imagine the worry you went through when it happened. My mum just collapsed with a brain haemorrhage a week ago and its shocked me to the core. It gives me hope to read messages like yours to think that I will find the strength to keep going. Thankyou x x x
Hi Julie, another 12 months closer to recovery-just think what you have gone through and coped with this last twelve months, the most horrendous thing that can happen to a parent! You are coping amazingly! Best of luck and keep
fighting! Just think in another 12 months more progress will be made x polly
A year ago last Friday, my daughter had her accident. It left her in a low awareness state. I cannot believe it has been a year already. Hugs to you and your family xxx
yes, many congratulations for you all. great children are back at school. Yes we found you have to fight or look for help yourselves with brain injury unlike any other illness. you have been so brave as another person said its a parent's worse nightmare, and being a mum myself I can only begin to feel what you have gone through. yes brain injury is rocky and affects the whole family, I know only too well, but it does get better I even if dors not feel like it sometimes. I try and keep positive people around me. Hoe are you coping? Taker care.
Best wishes to you all. Hope you're beginning to enjoy the luxury of some normality & that your precious kids go from strength to strength. Love Cat xx
Jack and Sophie are both lovely children and one year on are starting to be back in the main stream of the life they once had , some thing this time last year seemed like would never come true .Keep going its a long winding road but you will see them get stronger and back to how they use to be
New to this forum, 24 hrs. Read about Jack and Sophie, you have my best wishes. Remember young children's brains are developing and the brain is an amazing organ. In Jack and Sophie's case I hope that the injuries are at a stage where the brain will be able to deal with them.
One thing I will say 'Never Loose Hope'.
