a poem i wrote

[zainey-lainey]

please be pateint with this patient

try not to get the wrong impression

of an indentation & its called depression.

a feeling that's there when you wake in a morning.

you have no control and there is no warning.

like some was has died and your hurt inside

you just want to cry but don't no why.

but there is no reason and it is not the season.

a sense your so low-& just want it to go.

dreading the cloud you are under may turn into thunder

please world go away if only for a today.

no wish for tomorrow unless your mind i borrow.

an illness you cannot see but for us it's misery.

I think it is great that following brain injury some people have found a creative outlet using words..and at the same time it makes me quite sad too because I was a published author prior to my brain injury ...which has left me quite literally lost for words... now I can barely string a coherent sentence together and my 'latest' work remains unfinished and neglected...

Of course on the up-side to that I have developed an alternative creative outlet... not the one I would have chosen for myself but I have something to keep me out of mischief
