Hi Barny, I think the best thing you can do, is read the ingredients on the Bottles of spirits and mixers of what you like, Whiskey is made with Wheat,

I know I can drink brandy, but, most spirits are made with grains, and as we know, Coeliacs cannot have, Wheat, Rye, Oats & Barley

I was led to believe all wine and spirits are ok for Coeliacs. Even though some spirits, eg Whiskey, have wheat to begin with, by the time they've been processed all the wheat has disappeared. My son drinks spirits and has always been fine. Lager and beer are definitely not gluten free. Cider is fine.

Hi Barney, i have only just discovered that whiskey is gf however i am still too nervous to try, however my understanding is that all other spirits wines and cider are gluten free. Ive drank vodka, quantro, malibu, peach shnapps, rum, wine and cider and i've never had any problems. As for your mixers, most fizzy drinks are ok, some store brand colas contain gluten but it will tell you on the allergy list. Happy holidays!
