Need some help with blood test results.

Hello all. I was tested for celiac about 2 weeks ago after my intestinal biopsy showed signs of inflammation. I received my results this morning. My tissue transglutaminase AB, IGA was a 1 and lab yields anything under 4 to be within normal range. My Immunoglobulin A was slightly elevated at 476, lab range was 463. Has this happened to anyone else? Does this mean a gluten intolerance moreso than Celiac Disease? I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

Hi I have just seen your post, it might be a good idea to post this question on the Thyroid UK forum. There are loads of fantastic people on there who will be able to help you to interpret you results.

Good luck.

There is another condition now recognised as a problem , Non Coeliac Gluten Sensitivity. If avoiding gluten improves your health, it could well be this.
