Check out these two, they are paleo but come up with some really neat alternatives to normal situations where you'd find loads of gluten.

Also, for an easy recipe for a gf chocolate cake that fools the normals, Google 'black bean chocolate cake'

You can make quite decent blinis using chick pea flour.

Chick pea flour, mix with some olive oil til all the lumps have gone, add a bit of boiling water, mix, add an egg and baking powder and cook.

This is the same basic recipe I use when I want pancakes.

edit: you can add a little psyllium husk to make this mixture a bit more 'sticky'.

Hi there if I'm doing a posh buffet I always do tapas and mezze dishes, i have a number if very good recipe books but google is equally good at returning recipes, you get loads of suitable dishes including various types of falafel and meatballs which are a favourite in our household as well as marinated cheeses and veggies etc. but guests are always suitably impressed with how posh or buffet offering is! I also have a picnic cookbook by Annie bell that is a rather posh affair - of course these recommendations arent dedicated GF offerings but I tend to pick the recipes which naturally are or substitute the ingredients with GF alternatives if that make sense.

Tbh the chickpea recipe is also what I do for flat bread as well...just cook it in the oven on some parchment, on a pizza tray

I often make rice pancake spring rolls - these are uncooked and really easy to put together. You can get rice pancakes from asian stores and some supermarkets, you dip each one in water then fill with a couple of cooked prawns/chicken/pork/duck/ and fresh shredded veg as you like - (pepper, chinese leaf, cucumber, shredded carrot etc) plus a few strands of shredded fresh coriander/mint/basil. Roll them up like traditional roast duck pancakes but fold the ends over so the damp rice pancake will stick together. Then serve with dipping sauces such as tamari sauce, chilli sauce, lime juice+fish sauce+sugar. Rice pancakes are also a great substitute if you can get hold of or make gf chinese roast duck.

Apart from these, quail scotch eggs ("breaded" with ground almonds), marinaded chicken wings or strips, falafel and fragrantly spiced meatballs with yoghurt and tahini dressings, tiny tartlets filled with whatever i have to hand along with plenty of nuts, marinated olives and fresh veg sticks/salads are all gluten free staples for me.

Tiny tartlets are really good to make, as in single mouthful canapes you don't really taste the pastry and even if it isn't that great, you can get away with it as long as your fillings are tasty!

For sweet things, tiny squares of gf chocolate brownie, millionaire's shortbread, lemon slice and tiny meringue swirls with a bite-size strawberry and a dab of cream are all easy (the lemon slice and millionaire's shortbread use the same base for speed of preparation). Only the veg, pancakes and the meringues have to be prepared on the day, everything else can be done the day before.
