Tests for food intolerances

Anyone have any experiences of tests for food intolerances? My friends son has an egg intolerance and possibly other intolerances and we were wondering about those kits you can get that test nail clippings and hair? Has anyone been through testing for this?

Ive recently done a blood one which threw up carrots and celery as a problem. I have just got myself a hair sample one, it says they test 200 various things so it will be interesting to see the results, and wether they agree with the other smaller one i had done.

If your friend is worried about this, why not talk to a doctor about being referred for allergy /intolerance testing? If you are in the UK, it is available on the NHS.

Thanks. She has been referred to the NHS but was wondering how the bought kits compare.

Our hair and nails can show some of the environmental factors or diet our bodies have been exposed to in our lives. Not sure they're any use for showing allergies or intolerances.

I used York Test and found I was gluten,yeast,dairy and egg white intolerant. Making diet changes has seriously kicked anxietys butt
