question about chemo for recurring tumour

hi,

My husband was diagnosed with GBM4 in December 2021. He has had an enlarged biopsy, a removal of tumour, radiotherapy x 2, months of TMZ and avastin.

We’ve had 6 months of stable scans and no chemo which has been amazing. Recent scan showed regrowth and the oncologist is recommending lomustine and avastin.

Does anyone have experience of lomustine and what are the side effects?

Thanks so much for reading

Hi 15773

There was an announcement by the Brain Tumour Charity regarding the Phase2 clinical trial of SATIVEX for a recurring brain tumour - have a look at the news items on their website. It might be worthwhile asking your husbands oncologist about it, to find out if he could be considered for it.
