has anyone had difficulty getting Acetazolamide slow release 250mg? It used to be Diamox, now just the generic one available. I am prescribed it as I cannot anymore tolerate glaucoma drops. I cannot find it in any local chemist, sent it to my online one but they have just come back saying unavailable and no delivery date. If anyone knows a chemist with it in stock I would be grateful, they can pick the prescription up on the Spine.

I’m in UK and was told it isn’t available in slow release form here. I had to take four a day around Christmas prior to glaucoma surgery and it made me feel very ill. I had taken it in previous years twice a day in slow release form and that didn’t make me feel ill at that tine so I think it makes all the difference. It’s a very unpleasant drug to take with potentially serious side effects but sometimes it is needed to protect sight.
