SLT RESULTS 9 MONTHS ON

Hi just a quick post... I get my pressure tested every month. My choice I pay for it... gives me peace of mind.

9 months on after SLT and using 1 drug monoprost

up by 1 point to right eye 18 and left eye 19. Fingers crossed it continues to be around this mark. It was 28 in January.

Always a worry for everyone.. Full test at the hospital next month to see how my eyes are doing. take care valfrance

Hi valfrance, great to hear your pressures are still doing well 9 months after SLT, long may it continue 😊. I’m due back next week to see if this procedure has been successful for me 🤞at the moment I’m not using any drops.

Hi spanieldoglover, good luck for next week and I hope all goes well. I can't remember if you were using drops before.. my consultant said I had to continue... i am ok taking monoprost... i don't think I will ever be drop free. The lowest my pressure got to was 16 and 17 that was amazing. If I can just stay under 20 I will be happy so long as my eyes are ok with that of course. fingers crossed for you. take care val france

Thank you valfrance. I was recently diagnosed and was put on latanoprost as I had to have cataracts ops first but then had SLT. My consultant wants my pressures to be under 16 so we shall see. But as you say if I have to use drops too as long as it helps keep my sight, so be it. Take care too and hope all remains stable.
