Bad day...

It has been amazing to me what stress and strain illness puts upon relationships.

My husband , still awaits the 'urgent' appointment for the polyp found in his throat and the cough has got worse again - has not been helped at all by the numerous medicines and potions he was given 10 days ago. He says he just feels so ill and doesn't want to carry on like this. I feel that the lack of sleep has got him down and not helped at all.

Not sure where we go from here await the appointment to come from from the ENT dept and await the results of the lung biopsy I suppose.

I feel so helpless in all this and try to shrug off the nasty remarks that he flings my way when he is feeling so rough.

Sorry for my moan but having no control over this situation is a form of torture for both of us.

Asperillogis - in whatever form he has is certainly the boss here.

Dear Mariongisela, I am sorry to hear your struggles, time of sickness are so difficult on all family. Decision must be taken quickly and often based on limited information.

In all cases of disease a common denominator is body acidity that is in your hands to change and relief your husband from doing it so very rough. With some dietary changes and detox he will feel better.

Try to have him on green leafy vegetables(could concentrate in juices if needed), raw salads, drink plenty of water and coconut water and let him eat as much fresh raw produce as it is possible, avoiding cooked food and sugars at least for a week.

Detox with FIR sauna drinking yarrow and ginger tea and after that drink electrolytes.

Hope things improve for you and doing something for yourself will empower you in this experience.

Forgot to say that would be a good idea that your husband take some probiotics (gairy free) on empty stomach before going to sleep at night to keep the intestinal flora strong. Most people get them from pharmacies or health food shops over the counter.

Hi,

Thank you so much for your reply. You have confirmed what I am trying to get across to my sugar loving husband.... Having been on the anti candida diet myself for many months I know how better I felt on it.

I think, no I know, I am going to have to completely clear the cupboards and make sure he sticks to a better diet.

I would go as far as to say when he was on all the supplements ie. Garlic tablet, coconut oil tablets via d3 he was doing better than he is now on the prescribed medicine.

Thanks again.

Hi Mariongisela,

How are things going now? Have you had the biopsy result and an appointment with the ENT Department? If you are waiting for an urgent appointment it is a good idea to ring the department yourself and tell them you will take a short notice cancellation. Just tell them how long it will take you to get there if they call you at home. We have managed to get a few x-rays and MRI Scans done that way.

Hope everything is getting better for you now.

Hi Sian,

We have had progression I called last week on the Wednesday furious that we were still awaiting an appointment 7 weeks after the bronchoscope and low and behold got one the next day. Turned up at the ENT dept and found the outpatients to be empty and ridiculously laid back unlike the respiratory dept in the same hospital! Specialist did a camera up the nose and said he didn't think the polyp was serious and he would like a MRI done - await this appointment now. He did say that there was a lot of mucus around the throat area - hubby had been saying that the coughing was coming from the throat and not from lung/chest area.

John's latte symptom/problem is swollen puffy ankles. So on we go!! (And to think I use to,have a phobia of Drs and hospitals - soon shifted that)

Thanks for your reply
