I am really struggling to describe my symptoms, I have suffered with an illness on and off for 3 years, it’s been really bad the last 10 months, I’m struggle so much to explain it to doctors, I basically feel like I have the flu BUT not with the tiredness.

I feel unwell in my throat/glands but not a typical sore throat, and my whole body feels unwell but it’s not a mental unwell feeling, I feel physically unwell like I’m coming down with something but there isn’t a specific pain, it’s just a horrible unwell feeling.

It comes and goes, changes by the hour, sometimes it’s more intense than others.

I’ve had lots of blood tests, which came back normal.c have been referred to a consultant.

Anyone else struggle to describe their symptoms?

Thank you

Yes I struggle to describe my symptoms too especially the weird ones. Pain is pain but sometimes it’s a burning type of pain. The feeling so unwell is hard to describe. I say it’s like having the flu without the runny nose bit. I also think brain fog is hard to describe. A bit like a hangover without the alcohol bit. I watch friends and relatives give me puzzled looks so now I just say I’m not feeling good and leave it at that. I’ve found even the medics look puzzled.
