Not too old but always unwell

I am always unwell and I am tired of it. I am 56 years old and have so many things wrong with me. Somedays I struggle massively with just being here. I do not want to live my life like this.

Yes, you are not alone, now I noticed you have just joined so to help others reply, try and shed a few more details about your symptoms in your title/post this will get the ball rolling, I suffer when neuropathy, migraines, and skin problems, and have had other health problems in the past which I can help occasionally others perhaps give out information on,and sometimes people just come on here to have a general chit, chat, and you'll find this gets the replies moving, otherwise you'll be thinking nobody exists, trust me,this site is a wealth of knowledge, I'm a year older than you, and I have had numerous health conditions,it has members worldwide, but maybe this time of night/ morning for me in the United kingdom things maybe be quiet, don't give up if you don't get any replies, try another title, and put up hello I'm new here, if nothing happens, each page has a dedicated subject, and its difficult to understand what you are struggling with health wise, so be patient, things will happen, best of luck, and hopefully you'll put a bit more information up so people can understand your difficulties, thanks.

I have an identical twin and she never gets anything and that upsets me. I am always sick. When I was 26 I had a abnormal smear and had laser treatment. At 33 I decided to have a hysterectomy due to my anxiety. I have suffered with depression since my grandmother passed as we were really close and that was nearly 30 years ago. I have clinical depression which I struggle with most days of my life. Now and for the last couple of years I am suffer from severe anxiety also. I have fibromyalgia and Ibam not too bad at the moment. I suffer from palpitations or heart flutters and it scares me every single day. I am in the process of having some tests done but my dr does not believe that it is my heart. I am having trouble with a dry mouth and loosing enamel off my teeth. I have put on alot of weight as I moved cities thinking that I would be happier but that is not the case. Now I need to move again and find a new job. I am so tired of doing all these things in my life. I am so fed up. This looks like a nice and friendly site. Thank you to Cb1963 for responding to me. I have never ever felt so very alone.

Go onto the fibromyalgia page that will generate more discussion, perhaps that is causing some of your other symptoms, its not a subject I'm totally aware of but I do go onto that page because my page is always quiet, so people will understand how you feel and understand how you feel ,think you'll find they have over 40,000 members on their so your bound to find someone to get more replys, often with pain etc, this causes other symptoms to arise, yes I lost a friend through suicide, and it affects me,and I have to be careful how I post messages back regarding PTSD on the mental health page as you can't feel somebody's else's pain, and everyone is at a different phase of ' healing ' if there is such a word, and often they may have other problems, so it can be complicated, so all in all you have a lot going on,but do try the other page and hopefully you'll get more replys, best of luck, the forum makes the world a smaller place.

I hear ya. Same thing. Im 59, neuropathy in hands and feet,( non diabetic), constant pain in my left leg, and my fingertips are always burning. No one can figure out why. Also have Crohns. Im looking for help other than Drs who cant find reasons or cures. This site is helpful. Just go thru and find someone who seems to have your issues and what they may be doing about it. Im trying different things like magnesium, B vitamins, ACV, next will be therapeutic oils. Somewhere i will find help. Keep plugging away and God Bless!

I too have Crohn’s. I’ve had it since the early 1970’s. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, Sjorgren’s Syndrome, osteoporosis, degenerative disc disease and spondylolistheses. I’ve had both hips replaced, two resections of the bowel. I also have the burning fingers, pain in my left leg and neuropathy of the left foot. Aren’t these things all part of the Crohn’s diagnosis? Multiple auto-immune illness. It’s sad that so many doctors and consultants seem to assume we just ‘know’ these things.

Hi,

It is hard to know how to respond with so few details. I think it is important to do everything you can so that your GP takes you seriously. Ask about exercise on prescription, ask about diet, nutrition classes. If you can go for a walk every day. Making sure the basics are right will make you feel better than you would otherwise be even if you are not well. It also makes you feel you have some control.
