I'm new here as I have been diagnosed today with FND. if I'm being honest, I don't really know what to think. I don't feel like anything was really explained to me, just that they will be changing my medication. I have been off work for 2 months (I work in a school with SEN kids) and am really worried about how work can put things into place so I can continue with my job. if anyone has been in a similar position please get in touch. also if someone could put things into lamen's terms that would be great.
thank you

FND is an umbrella term meaning 'our brain is sending and receiving faulty information' a bit like a computer with a virus. It is totally involuntary and all of the symptoms you have are Real! Do not feel guilty it is not your fault. Do read up as much as you can from reliable sources and take things slowly. It took me a long time to accept I have FND, so be kind to yourself.
