Is it common to have secondaries on the lungs if you have bladder cancer??
Secondaries: Is it common to have... - Fight Bladder Cancer
Secondaries
I don't think so..many survive without secondary cancer
It is if cancer cells escape from the bladder - this happened to my mother-in-law last year following bladder cancer treatment although it was a tumour in her heart which finished her off.
I had a tumor removed from my Bladder in late December 2015, the biopsy showed as aggressive and that it had gone into the mussel at the top of the bladder, the scan also showed up secondaries in the lungs, they decided to tackle the bladders first, i had a 20 session of Radiotherapy over 4 weeks which ended 6 weeks ago, another scan shows up the marks on my lungs still growing with some new ones, I started Chemotherapy 2 weeks ago and will be scanned again at the end of the 9 week cycle, that takes me to the middle of June, then another scan to check on progress. All this takes time and it is best for us to keep a positive mind about things, I am blessed that I have 5 children and their spouses plus 14 grandchildren who all help to keep my spirits high, then there is my wife of 49 years married, she is my best friend, the love of my life and my main carer who could ask for more. I am also very fortunate to live in Belfast we we have a dedicated state of the art Cancer Center at the Belfast City Hospital and is beside the Queens University Medical Biology Center who are one of the leaders in Cancer research in the world. I also have great prayer support from all my many church friends which is so important to me for my faith in God sustains me through it. I hope and pray you make a full recovery and all goes well with your treatment.
