Did you know that if you need four or more prescription items in 3 months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, then you can save money by getting a pre-payment prescription certificate (PPC)?
If you have a valid PPC, then you pay nothing more for any prescriptions you need.
A three month PPC costs £29.10 and a 12 month PPC costs £104.00. There are several payment options available. If you choose the 12 month PPC, you can pay for this by 10 monthly direct debit instalments.
How much can you save?
•If you need two items each month you can save around £70 with a 12 month PPC
•If you need three items each month you can save around £160 with a 12 month PPC
•If you need four items each month you can save around £250 with a 12 month PPC

Note that you are eligible for free prescriptions if you have a continuing physical disability that prevents you from going out without help from another person (even though Fibro is not on the list of medical exemption conditions), and have a valid medical exemption certificate (MedEx). How to get a MedEx is described on the link below:

Despite a promise from the last Government, prescriptions are not being made free for all people with long-term health conditions. The Prescription Charges Coalition, of which FibroAction is a member, is campaigning for free prescriptions for all people with long-term health conditions.
