low mood is this a cause from firomyalgia or seperate?

It could be either, but if you are in a lot of pain constantly that will of course lower your mood... That's why the first med we are usually prescribed with fibro is an anti depressant ... To scramble the signals in our brains to try to lessen the pain and help us sleep and of course to make us feel a bit brighter... I have finally found the right anti depressant for me and I get sleep and don't feel low at all now so its a matter of trial and error

Hi, my doctor has just changed my anit-depressants from Citalapram to Venlafaxin and I feel a lot of relief, not only from very dark moods but also from that overwhelmed, whole body singing a high note feeling. The pains are the same, fatigue etc but I'm just happy that they helped with a couple of things. My previous G.P. had no understanding of fibro and that low seratonine, dopamine etc are part of the syndrome.
