... that I have just fired off an email to my local MP. Not sure how much good it will do me or anyone else but I told it as it is. Hopefully I will hear something back, if not, I tried. Maybe we should all do it and get them to take notice of us as sufferers basically being accused of 'swinging the lead'

Wanted to up date you on how it went with me emailing my local MP, Fantastic news!!!!!! She never even took the time to reply:( If she wants my vote she can go whistle and if she knocks at my door I will tell her to her face why I refuse to vote for her) I am soooooo angry

Well done OG and thanks for your action on behalf of us all. I intend to do the same thing myself now and follow your lead. Jane x

Sorry to say, it probably won't get you anywhere. I actually went to see my MP in surgery about 2 years ago, regarding a my type 1 diabetes and the problems I was having with the PCT funding an insulin pump for me...he did absolutely NOTHING about it, despite me chasing him and his useless "assistant" - who was called Rupert or something like that...they do not care about the average person & their helath problems...they've all got BUPA anyway

I wrote to my MP after the job centre told me that the government did not recognise fibromyalgia as a true complaint. He told me that the government does recognise this condition and gave me some addresses to write to (all of which had already contacted). Unfortunately MPs don't like getting involved and would rather pass the buck. At least they know we won't hold a march at 10 downing street (we couldn't manage it !!).

I know the government recognises the condition but I think someone forgot to tell ATOS and the DWP and they do not seem to recognise it. My ATOS doctor would not even discuss it with me. That told me he had no idea what fibro was so was not inteested. Anyway he lost me my ESA which I would say I was fully entitled to. But hey ho, life goes on xxxxx
