Again, I have found my arms have flared up in pain, they are weakened also and I drop things all the time - is there a scientific explanation for this?

Why have arms flared up in pain after housework?
I know what you mean, I have the same thing happen. You are tiring out the muscles basically. Asserting so much energy that you really need to conserve. Your muscles are telling you that you are doing too much. If I di too much in one day I spend the next few days dropping anything and everything. You need to learn to make your chores smaller. Do a to do list of smaller jobs and take it easy, you have fibro, that means you are not superman anymore xxxx
I don't know about a scientific reason but i do suffer with my arms badly and it can come on at the simplist of things, i am very accident prone so doesn't help but staging things and small rests help. xxxx
Happens to me every time after housework. Hubby bought me a very light hoover, this has helped my arm pain considerably. I always avoid lifting if I can possibly help it as this is guaranteed to set both my arms off afterwards. A common sign of Fibro I'm afraid and is exactly why as Ozzy explains above. Very good advice Ozzy!
Thank you for your replies it does help knowing there are others who experience the same thing - this is a baffling condition!
I'm finding I'm dropping things more and more. And it always seems to be little things that I can't pick up...cash, bottle tops, bits of paper!! What a right pain!!
