Yup I have muscles in shoulders and neck that spasm permenantly my gp sent me to local pain clinic and I get injections in my shoulders and neck every three months.. Ahhhh the relief and the headaches I was having every week due to the muscle spasm have gone from one a week to one a year..hope that helps

yes, I've had several pain killing steriod injections in my left hip - they gave me about 8 weeks of relief. They wern't painful to have done but I also had one under a CT scan directly into my sacro-illiat joint and it's not for the faint hearted. I'd never do it again. It was excruciatingly painful to have done, I was virtually immobile for 48 hours afterwards and I also had some kind of bad reaction to it aswell.

I now can't have anymore than 2 a year as the hospital discovered my bones were thinning and the steriod could have caused that to happen and make them deteriate more. I am considering having one into my hip at the moment though - just because I need a break from the nagging pain so I can re-group my head :)

I'm having my wrists done in jan though am a tad nervous as I will be back to work after a weekend resting them

If it goes as well as the shoulder and neck injections you feel a little sore for 24 hours then relief for weeks hope you find the same results

I had one in my shoulder, the relief was wonderful and lasted for about 8 weeks before it gradually started coming back, unfortunately I also has some side effects which mean I'm not allowed to have any more :(

I had trigger point injections into my forehead for headache which was amazing and the pain did not come back for several months, also injections into my shoulder which helped with my neck pain - before that I had the feeling that my neck was bending over to the left and I had to struggle to keep it upright and that went away completely. I had a trigger point injection into my face which didn't help at all - I think maybe the wrong muscle was injected and also he put steroids into the injection and I think the result is better with just local anaesthetic and no steroids.

Also there is quite a lot of research into the effect of botox which works well - although apparently after a time it stops working for pain. But if you have drug sensitivity it might be a bad idea because it stays in your body for 8 months so it might give you negative side effects for the whole of that time
